SPATIAL DATABASES |
Components: entities, relations, attributes, keys, and cardinality:
Spatial objects can be modeled by defining entities and relations between these entities and entities that describe geometric representations in a space, namely:
- geometry
- point
- region
- space
Conceptual modeling may handle explicit or implicit spatial relations between entities. For example, a model that considers a landparcel and a river can be done by considering explicit specifications of relations or by representing objects' geometry.
