Activities> Spatial Modeling

    • You should be able to answer the following questions:
      • What are the differences or why do we need to model not only single but collections of objects?
      • What types of abstractions are needed in SDBs?
      • Consider the following spatial configuration and define its representation based on:
        • - a regular tessellation
        • - spagetti vector representation
        • - simplicial complexes
        • - graph-based representation
        • - constraints-based representation
  • Assignment I: (deadline Abril 19, 2005)

  • Using Java or C++, implement the data structures that allow the representation of objects using simplicial complexes or a topological model. Implement a simple user interface that allows the display of spatial objects. As an example, display the configuration of spatial objects that represent a map of the neighborhood were you live. Consider the most relevant places or spatial objects of your neighborhood.
