Título: Modeling and processing trips over networks

Resumen: New technologies such as automatic fare collection (smartcards) and automatic passenger counting have made possible to generate a huge amount of highly detailed and real-time data, suitable to define measures that characterize the use of transportation networks. This data  consists of real trips, combining  implicitly the service offered by a public transportation system with  the demand for the system.  We discuss in this talk the problem with modeling and processing trips over networks. We focus on modeling data at different levels of granularities and  designing  efficient methods for counting-based query processing.
